Raghav Nallaperumal
MS Robotics Engineering student at WPI. I build intelligent systems that perceive, learn, and act in the real world.

About Me
I'm Raghav, an MS Robotics Engineering student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Currently based in Worcester, MA, originally from Chennai, India.
Currently conducting thesis research on health monitoring and diagnostics for autonomous UAVs in WPI's Advanced Controls and Perception Lab. My focus is building intelligent robotic systems that perceive, learn, and act in the real world. I've built end to end perception pipelines for autonomous driving (MonoSense), implemented 6 visual inertial odometry approaches for UAVs, and deployed manipulation systems on real hardware (Franka Panda, UR5e). My work spans classical robotics (controls, kinematics), modern deep learning (RL, imitation learning, NeRF), and sensor fusion (VIO, EKF, transformers).
Most recently, I've worked on Tesla inspired monocular perception (27K frames on GPU cluster), deep reinforcement learning for robotic picking (A3C, Actor Critic), and behavioral cloning with diffusion policies. Before WPI, I interned at HCLTech working on industrial IoT protocols.
Outside of robotics: I play football, run a Tamil language football YouTube channel (Offside Kootam), and watch a lot of films.
Robotics Engineering
Manipulation, perception, and control on real hardware. Currently working on drone perception and control.
Football & Content
Competitive player and creator of Offside Kootam, a Tamil-language football YouTube channel.
Cinema & Storytelling
Film enthusiast. I find that good storytelling and good engineering have a lot in common.
